About Us
The KIMS Library was established in 1981 when the College started functioning. Year after year it has made steady progress and has grown into a collection of 21,500 Medical Books & 10,150 bound volumes with subscription to 145 periodicals yearly on various Medical subjects. There is also a library in the hospital complex to cater to the clinical departments with a seating capacity of 100 there are 4,600 books available in this library. Both the central library and the hospital library have in addition a digital library with internet facilities. In addition to above all departments have a department library of their own. The library is open from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm on all workings days. Xerox facilities are available in both the libraries. There are also reading rooms for the students to bring in their own reading material to study.


Facilities
The library complex consists of several specialized spaces designed to support learning and research. It includes a staff reading room, a postgraduate reading room, and a dedicated interns’ reading room, along with separate rooms for the librarian and other staff members. For multimedia resources, there is a microfilm, video, and audio room equipped with an LCD projector. The periodicals are organized into two sections: one for current periodicals and another for back volumes. A reprography room provides Xerox and duplication services. The facility also houses an air-conditioned computer room with MEDLARS access and internet connectivity. Additionally, there is an undergraduate section and a separate own-book reading room, ensuring that users at all levels have access to suitable study environments.
